Stages of the Contest

1. Online Test


All registered students will be invited to participate in a multiple-choice question online test for Science and Maths for 45 minutes each.

2. Video Test


Shortlisted students from the online test will have to make a short video on any topic of their choice from Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Maths (STEAM).


3. Face-to-face Interview


After the video test, 7 students will be selected to battle it out for top spot via the Interview Round.

The best students from the online test will be shortlisted. They will have to make a short video on any topic of their choice amongst Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics (STEAM).

FAQs

  • Who can participate?

    The contest is open to tenth grade students from India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Parents need to register on behalf of students and give their consent.

    • The first step, that is the Aptitude test, will be conducted on the 17th of September. The test consists of both Maths, and Science questions, of 45 mins each. It will be an online test.

    • The questions are based on standard Indian School Maths and Science subjects.

    • Results of the aptitude test will be declared within 2 weeks of test date

    • The parent will make the child available for further stages, if the child has qualified.

    • LAS has undertaken to provide full academic tuition scholarship (11th and 12th grade) to the winner of the LAS Scholarship. The scholarship will also include boarding expenses, meals, cultural trips and uniforms.

    • This scholarship so granted will not include Personal account and Deposit monies to be made to the school by every student which amounts to an amount of 10,000/- CHF, which has to be paid by the student who wins the LAS India Scholarship and is willing to pursue his 11th and 12th grade education at LAS. It also does not include the airfare to and from the school. This has to be borne by the student.

    • The student's passport needs to be valid

  • No. The LAS Scholarship is only for those applying for the IBDP. The school provides IBDP program for eleventh and twelfth grade.

  • No. The contest is open for citizens of India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka only.

  • The contest has three stages as outlined in contest details. Please note that the organiser can change/modify the details anytime as per the market conditions. The final winner choice is LAS prerogative.

  • Yes. We are charging a nominal amount of INR 1000 per student at the time of registration. Please note that this is a non-refundable amount.
